Orchard Living View was founded with the mission of providing specialized care for persons with acquired brain injury as well as providing group and private home services for individuals dealing with Traumatic Brain Injuries, Mental Illness, Dementia and /or Alzheimer disorders.
We're committed, dedicated and proud to serve our clients and their families. When a family member is placed with Orchard Living View, they become a part of a bigger family and are always treated with respect and dignity by skilled and dedicated professional care givers who continually train in an effort to maintain quality service.
Caring and love for our clients is our most important goal at Orchard Living View.
Our Story
It all started with a dream and a house in Shelby Township.
The dream was to care for the elderly in a small home setting so they would not have to go into a nursing home and get lost or fall through the cracks. We felt that with a smaller environment, extra attention and care could be given to everyone.
So, the house was furnished, and a HOME was created. A place full of love and dedication for someone’s mother, father, sister, or brother. We wanted to give peace of mind to the family members that could not take care of their loved ones.
Orchard Living View has been in existence for over 15 years. It is a family run business. It was started with the hope in mind that if a loved one needed care, they could receive it from a truly dedicated professional staff in a loving and caring environment. With only 6 clients, we could make a difference. Treating each client with respect and allowing them to maintain their dignity and worth. That is what it is all about!
Our Father was only given 3 years to live. A death bed promise to our Mother to take care of our Father was made. We were caring for him at home and it was exceedingly difficult. He needed to be turned every 2 hours throughout the day and night. We had tried several places for his care and did not care for any of them. Then we thought why not place him in a smaller home-like facility. Our Father lived 10 years longer than the doctors predicted.
Today, Orchard Living View has grown. We now have several homes in Wayne, Macomb, and Oakland Counties, clients in apartment settings with limited care, and have expanded our program from the elderly to clients with MI, DD, and TBI.

Orchard Living View has a dedicated team of committed Direct Care Workers and Home Mangers that staff our facilities 24 hours a day. We work with a 1-3 ratio.
All of the group homes are licensed for a maximum of six (6) clients. This allows for individualized attention daily.

All the staff is CPR and First Aid Certified. Each staff member must undergo a rigorous state background screening and finger printing. They provide for a safe and secure environment for every client. While assisting our clients, the staff helps to preserve the dignity and respect of everyone.
